Quick Gaussian Splat FREE Editor has arrived with definitive cloning tools
Are you familiar with Photoshop's "clone stamp" tool? I've created a similar tool. You place an emitting sphere over the splats you want to duplicate, and then paint by placing the receiving sphere over areas that, for example, have holes or less detail, thus adding detail to the entire scene.
With the same intention, I managed to improve the result of the "print" tool, which is now out of beta. Now you select an area of splats you want to duplicate and then place four anchor points over the area where you want the splat surface to end up. When you click on "Print Surface," the splats adapt to the position of the four anchors, fitting perfectly.
In both cases, you can play with color transfer and edge opacity to blend it in with nearby splats. In addition to improving optimization settings when working with very large splat scenes, I've rewritten the entire app description on tich-io as well as the app's "System documentation" in the hope that the functionality of all the tools will now be clearer.
I've spent many, many hours racking my brain imagining new tools like these, and I truly hope you find them useful.
Finally, I want to remind you that there's a button in the bottom right corner to put the app in full-screen mode.
