Hello folks.

After a 2 year stop the craving for astrophotography got a hold of me again. Back then i had a ton of good equipment. Sadly i sold all of it (Besides a Canon 70D Fullspec i never used).

I started with only a Eq5 and moved to heavier mounts and scopes. At the end i had an Azeq 6 and a 80PHQ. Turns out the loadout was to heavy and big for my comfort and i started to size down to a more compact one which materialized a harmonic mount and multiple small apos.

Want to avoid this error and unnecessary money spending so id stay with a smaller, compact and fast to use setup.

Currently i have only cameras (The canon + a Nikon 6II) and would prefer to keep it on a budget in case i wont get to use it as much as i would like.

Thought about the following options:

Nikon Z6II / 70D

Skywatcher GTI

Askar FMA 180 Pro

No Guiding / only if needed

Another option is to sell the Z6II and get either a better small apo or a better mount. But it should be powerable by battery and i dont think there is a really better option in the same format.

(What other scope / mount?)

Id really like to try the fullframe sensor but i dont know if its worth it. Im familiar with nikons problems.

Has anyone used the Z6II for AP? Images i saw seem promising.

Hello, i feel so stupid as its a really simple reaction but here we go. Im doing a iodination of vanillin with KI and NaOCl

I used a fresh reagent grade 3,5% NaOCl solution (14,5ml) and added it dropwise ~20-30min to a (95%) ethanolic solution of Vanillin (0,87g) and KI (1,3g) at 5°C

After addition i left it to stirr at RT for another 20min and added 0,98g Sodiumthiosulphate followed by acidification.

After acidification product is supposed to crash out but that never happens. Also others seem to have a suspension at that point while i have a clear solution after the thiosulphate addition.

I tried multiple NaOCl concentrations and all turn out the same. The discoloration upon addition is yellow -> red.

Upon addition of 100ml cold water a opaque milky suspension formed, which is not filterable and i doubt its the product.

Has someone performed this specific reaction? :(

Next steps i had planned where adding less thiosulphate and dilution with water putting the mixture into a fridge.

Probably completely useless post but i just need to get this off my chest.

When will they finally fix the settingloss after an update. Once i perfectly dialed in a damn update publishes and all is lost. Its just so annoying man. All the VC settings are gone, all the skin presets etc.

After a loss i get the settings perfect again ONLY FOR THERE TO BE ANOTHER STUPID PATCH 2 DAYS LATER.

Other games dont have a issue with that so please fix this bullshit.
