My 67 oldsmobile 98 convertible

I suddenly became the steward of this little gem.

Not to many of them around here in little norway.

It's held up good trough the years and still looks quite good.

Had a repaint in the 90s, new crate 455 in 2012 and a rebuilt and modified trans in 2018.

New top somewhere between 2000 and 2010.

Today I mounted some octane lighting smoked lights on it.

New amp, again

So the Canor has left the building.. abit sad about that, but I wanted to get out of the pure tube amp stuff.

It has it's positives with sound quality, specially the Canor that was just a masterpiece. But the heat from class A tubes can be gruelling during longer listening stints.

I took a Hegel H400 in trade on it, purely to sell since i can't stand the hegel sound. It just sounds so terrible in the midrange and treble.

The hegel went out the door in under a week and i bougt this gem from Aesthetix. The Mimas integrated.

A hybrid thing with tubes in the pre stage for the sweet sound. But plenty of umph with 2x150w.

It's a full feature one with optional DAC and Riaa.

And i must say it is impressive.

Also upgraded the subwoofers. Sold the JL audio D108's and bought two d110's.
