Something is genuinely wrong with Cedar..
i went for the walk-in interviews hosted by cedar college for the final round 4 to the phase 8 campus. i went with my dad and we got there and were greeted by the first line of reception and quite nicely (i had no idea what awaited next) the guy guided us upstairs and went back out. now as im walking upstairs me and my father lose our way and we ask a lady who obviously looked like she was a part of the faculty and was a teacher for directions to where the interviews were being held. SHE DEADASS stood there looked me and my dad up and down and said sternly “do i look like a tour guide sir?” and laughed it off sarcastically to simmer and withhold the hit. i was appalled and my dad laughed it off and we didnt think much of it, regardless she didnt guide us and walked off. so we eventually did find the way to the interviews waiting area and my father sat in the waiting area as i got the token thingie sorted and got my results printed out. so now i get the token and shit and i sit down next to my dad and waited. we are eventually called up and sent into a library and led to a desk where we are met with the most dreadful, annoyed and entitled face i have ever SEEN. we sit down, the lady doesn’t even reply with walaikum salam and says “result deikhayen”. i show it to her she asks me about my grades where were pretty bad i got AABCCDDE, now heres the crazy part, i got an E in chemistry which i was dropping and pursuing the ICS path for a levels but she ABSOLUTELY HUMILIATED me on the E i got i tried explaining how i had a huge problem studying chemistry and that it was my weak point but she kept pressing on that single subject disregarding my other subjects AND NOT CONSIDERING THE FACT IM NOT EVEM PURSUING CHEMISTRY OR TAKING IT AS A SUBJECT FOR A LEVELS??! PLUS she didnt even ask me anything else other than just bombarding me with my E. i dont wanna talk about how the rest of the interview went as u can probably carve an idea of how it went, she wouldn’t listen to whatever i had to say. my dads just beside me listening to my belittlement being conducted lmaoo. anyways i got put on a waitlist and we go out and my dad tells me that its fine and an E is not the end of the world which i know. the next part was as worse lol.
my dad wanted to get to know the fee structure so me and him went to the admissions office or something i dont know and he asked him if he could learn about the fee structure. the guy that was sitting behind the desk isnt bothered and keeps scrolling on his phone and dosent even acknowlede the factthat he is being addressed. my dad tries excusing himself a couple of times to the guy but the guy wont budge off his phone HE WOULDNT EVEN REPLY. my dad finally had enough and he got a little louder AND THEN HE FINALLY HEARD and boy do i wish he hadnt because he started talking to his associate or the other guy who was working there DIDNT EVEN LOOK AT US OR SAID IT TO US DIRECTLY and said “inko batayen jab tak admission nhi hota fee structure nhi milskta” his tone was patronising insulting and egotistical. my dad just laughed it off and we decided we are just going to leave and then the f**ker tells my dad “aapko jisne bhi bataya hai ke fee structure mil jayega yahan se usko yahan bulayen” like we were his servants or something. my dad got pretty mad by this point and i just tried descalating and just getting out of there. i have applied to many colleges and went for interviews but i havent seen more of in a way classist egotistical and shitty faculty EVER. absolute mockery was made and idk why. we always treat others nicely and dont get me wrong we made sure to be civilised while interacting and just be nice to the people there but something is genuinely wrong with cedar.
other than that i met completely random guys and girls there that were in uniform and were students and we chatted a bit. they were really nice and just had a sense of warmth and were welcoming plus they were helpful in helping us get to the interview area. just a very nice group of guys. really glad to meet them and if ur reading this guys yall are really cool and thanks :)
