To the student who forgot to return this: Your rental just showed up thousands of miles away!
Hey everyone, I thought you’d appreciate this "traveling book" story. I’m currently in tunisia and I just bought this Penguin Classics edition of Silas Marner from a local thrift shop. When I turned it over, I saw the green Barnes & Noble College rental sticker. It even says: "Return rental textbooks during finals week." Well, it looks like this one missed the deadline—by an ocean! It’s amazing to think that this copy survived a semester (or maybe several) on a US campus, only to end up in a thrift bin on the other side of the world to become my first-ever English classic. I’m about to start reading it today. I’ll make sure to take better care of it than the person who lost their deposit on it! Does anyone recognize the sticker style or know which specific campus this might have come from?
