Pakistani security clearance requiring details of cousins abroad, is this normal?
My first cousin in Pakistan says he's going through a security clearance and has asked me for my current home address and employment details. He legitimately works in government/bureaucracy, while I live in Canada. We're not particularly close, and I generally keep some distance from that side of the family, so I'd prefer not to give out my personal information.
For anyone familiar with Pakistani government security vetting, is it normal for them to request the home address and employment details of every first cousin living abroad? If so, how detailed is the information normally required? And is this standard for first cousins, or only certain relatives?
