4.4 MoC Dark Sam 0 Cycle: 13 Cost

E2S1 DHIL + E2S5 DDD Sparkle + E2S1 MBlade + E1S5 DDD Tribbie

My favorite part of this clear was when I first did this stage I 1 cycled and I went "Oh I'm close I can probably 0 Cycle easily" and then smash cut to 5 hours worth of attempts later :) Ultra threatening S10 DDD makes a return!

Dark Sam was here two MoCs ago but the HP inflation was rough for DHIL. Dark Sam's HP went up by 6 mil it's so great guys. :) The only hit RNG in the run is "Does Dark Sam decide to murk DHIL at the start of Wave 2", the rest is hit RNG free. I placed Mblade in between Sparkle and Tribbie, because Tribbie's energy rotation is very tight.

For Wave 1, I actually use Tribbie's first basic to hit the two leftmost guys. I use Sparkle to pull up Mblade in order to get his Ult field up ASAP, then I use MBlade Ult into Sparkle Ult into Tribbie Ult for maximum stacks for MBlade. The DoT guy puts three DoTs on my team but it's fine, even though the DoTs do like 2.7K damage to DHIL, meaning he can't get hit. At All. :) For the rest of this Wave I use Sparkle to pull up DHIL. Next time Tribbie's turn rolls around, I use her basic to hit all three guys for energy management. I have to do it this way because otherwise uh MBlade's FUA kills all three of the dudes and Sparkle doesn't get another turn so DHIL can get more Energy. Using 3EBA on a dude with 1 HP feels bad but energy needs demand it.

For Wave 2, it's best if Dark Sam hits Mblade. But as long as it's anyone but DHIL it's fine. Sparkle has to pull up MBlade to lessen rng so I can burst down Dark Sam before he or any of his spawns get to go. I use Mblade's skill for Tribbie energy, then use Sparkle to pull up MBlade and then use Sparkle Ult into Mblade Ult. Tribbie's Ult should come up after Mblade's ult but before her own FUA, so I have to spam her Ult button to make sure she gets her Ult in before Blade does his FUA so the energy isn't wasted. I have to use Tribbie's skill for energy reasons. DHIL does 3EBA, but doesn't Ult just yet. Mblade uses a basic so he can use a skill later and get all the bounces on Dark Sam for damage. Mblade Ult to kill all the spawns, and then DHIL Ult right after. Then just use Sparkle to keep pulling up DHIL.

Some modifications to Mblade let him go ahead of Tribbie, which was good because Tribbie needs to use her ult next time her turn happens becuase her Ult field wears off. She just BARELY gets her Ult with a skill. Mblade uses skill, and then DHIL uses 3EBA, this triggers MBlade's FUA and gives him Ult, so Mblade Ult into DHIL Ult, and 3EBA should finish Dark Sam off but sometimes Tribbie Crit RNG does Crit RNG things.

4.3 Sparxiecon: DHIL 0 Cycle

Previously on me yapping about trying to 0C this stage

E2S1 DHIL + E2S5 DDD Sparkle + E2S1 M.Blade + E1S0 Tribbie

Sorry for the really slow initial loading after M.Blade enters the fight: my PC always does that on the first run I do after entering the stage. I don't think I've ever actually had a recordable run where I got the clear on the first run after entering the stage. :')

Damage is... very tight for this run. I had a run right before this where I got 1%ed because I missed a single crit on DHIL's turn and I was not pleased.

For Wave 1, burning Tribbie's DDD on DHIL's turn is necessary, because otherwise there isn't enough damage to clear Wave 1 near the end without using Blade's Ult. Sparkle must take the blast hit from the Gundam, otherwise she will be very slightly short of energy going into Wave 2. Actually, I can fail to pass Wave 1 if I get bad bounce RNG on M.Blade's skills.

For Wave 2, I need to Ult with Sparkle right away, even if it pushes her ahead of Sparxiecon, otherwise she won't be able to get back into the cycle at the end. Sparxiecon needs to hit M.Blade or Tribbie, and I send M.Blade into the subfield. But before M.Blade's turn comes up, I use DHIL's Ult to start stacking Res Pen for M.Blade. It doesn't ruin anything later, since only 4 AV passes between his turn and Sparxiecon's turn.

After this, M.Blade will be at 6/7 stacks. If you press his skill and then press his Ult right after, he will do his Ult before his FUA, so there isn't much Energy overflow. The FUA from hitting 7/7 cleans up the Sub-Field and brings him back out. Then Tribbie uses Ult and refreshes her skill.

When Sparkle goes, she MUST take her next turn ahead of Tribbie, otherwise Tribbie's Ult Zone runs out, and then I can't clear Phase 1 because I'm like 8% short because of the lack of True Damage. I must enter Phase 2 of the fight with everyone's Ult available but Tribbie's.

I actually had to drop my 100% crit rate build on DHIL for a 97% one because the 100% crit rate build dies to Sparxiecon's first attack in Phase 2. :')

M.Blade dies, but I select him again to go into the Sub-Field, and use his ult before his turn comes up so Tribbie uses her FUA and he gets a little Res Pen for his skill so he inflicts Balefire Bind on all the Sub-Field enemies. After M.Blade goes, Tribbie uses her basic attack, then Sparkle uses her Ult for a DDD push. Tribbie will get max energy, but it must be saved until the little side units Sparxiecon has buffs M.Blade. After that happens, Tribbie's Ult will push Sparkle back into the cycle, and M.Blade will use his FUA, and then get one more stack of Res Pen. This brings him to 4 stacks of Res Pen, and this will allow his Ult to kill the Sub-Field. DHIL 3EBA into Ult into 3EBA, which gives M.Blade just enough stacks to launch his FUA and finish Sparxiecon off.

I think Aha instant needs to bonk Sparxiecon at least once, Aha Instant hits her twice in this clear.

E2S1 DHIL -1 Cycle Sparxiecon, Coping for 0 Cycle

Aight I'm out of ideas.

Taking ideas to somehow get this a 0 cycle. I'm in pain. I THINK I can do it if one of these things happen:

  1. DHIL doesn't need ult to kill phase 1.
  2. M.Blade somehow kills phase 2 subfield with only 1 ult so he can use 2nd ult on Sparxiecon.

I have no idea how to do either of these things. Not sure yet if I'm desperate enough to reroll my DPS Vonwacq yet. I'm not even sure if I SOMEHOW luck out and get the same substats on the new set for trailblaze companions if that'll do it, but I don't think so. M.Blade actually needing to do damge is killing me.

Edit: oops I hit post by accident.
