It’s a beast, very heavy.
Going to mount it to a chunk of buried telephone pole disassemble and wire brush. Any suggestions on finish would be appreciated. Paint , oil, wax not sure. Thank you for looking
Collins Commander picked at a yard sale this weekend. Virtually unused handle dry and head a little loose. Looks like it has an aluminum wedge. Not sure what I am going to do with it yet , open for suggestions. Thank you

Picked this up at an estate sale this weekend. It was covered in dried mud and some rust . Cleaned with brass brush. Rehung it on original handle that was very dry, it really soaked up the linseed oil. No stamp on head. I am pretty sure it is a Rockaway pattern.
