Relative show follow-up
Just finished right now and there are tears because damn… that was a good ride. While the majority of characters certainly peaked to points of obnoxiousness at one time or another, I became so wrapped up in the story that it didn’t matter.
Everybody always asks about follow-up shows and I’m surprised no one has mentioned Six Feet Under. I’m not saying it’s thematically similar but you’ll get sucked into the family dynamic like no other, experience hardship, loss, and the kind of love that really matters, and it’s one of the best finales of all time. For me, Everwood’s last episode was good and comforting, but I’m the kind of girl that needs closure closure. I want one of those cheesy montages that give you a peek into their lives moving forward— like four seconds of what Nina and Andie actually looked like finally being together, Andy and Harold sharing a final moment together etc., but I’m a cheeseball.
There aren’t too many shows I walk away from feeling like a small piece of me ended w it, nor wanted to immediately start watching again after. I also appreciate this community because I feel like Everwood is a well-kept secret and you know what, I’m kind of okay with that.
