I Feel Like Uninstalling Myself Because of Hormonal Birth Control.
I’ve had PCOS for 4 years now probably. I got checked in 2023, and my gyno told me i needed to lose weight, but he also prescribed me hormonal birth control to make my periods regular. I stopped the birth control after a month or so because it was making me so nauseous (I don’t remember the emotional effects because i was on lexapro and buspar because i had really bad anxiety). Fast forward to 2026, i got another check up and my cysts actually miraculously improved! I’m at a healthy weight now which means the weight loss was definitely a factor in improving my PCOS. But for some reason my doctor prescribed me more hormonal birth control and told me to take it for a year. Right now i’m not on antidepressants and i’m really not okay. I feel suicidal and it’s an emotional roller coaster every single day. The waterworks happen several times a day and i hate this because i’m usually a very happy and bubbly person and I can’t even show up that way to my friends and family. I hate being depressed and I hate having to take birth control to regulate my period. I really can’t keep going like this my emotions keep getting the better of me.
