Screwed for BME progression

Cumulative GPA is 3.05 and Core GPA is 2.93

First sem:

- C in Calc 3

- B in Soc 134

- AB in Chem 103

- A in InterEGR 170

Second Sem:

- BC in Statics

- B in Math 320

- B in Chem 104

- AB in Comp Sci 220

Obviously I will be talking to my advisor, but I wanted to get some opinions here first. Do you think they will consider me for progression or offer me an extension?

I want to retake statics over this summer. I don’t think I’ll be able to retake Calc 3 this summer as it’s only offered in person and I’m back home currently. My next fall semester I plan to take Org Chem I, MoM, and Soc 277. I can fit in Calc 3 for fall but I fear that it would bring my grade down, as I’d be going from 12 credits (including BME 200 if I get it) to 16.

Even if I take the increased courseload and get an A in Calc 3, Org Chem, and MoM, my GPA will only be a 3.292 by the end of my fall semester as a sophomore. If I do manage to retake Statics and get an A, I’ll be at a 3.344, just barely passing, but this is being insanely optimistic that I’ll get an A in every single class. If I get an AB in MoM and Org Chem, I’m already at a 3.24.

I am calculating retakes as an average with the same number of credits, e.g. if I get an A in Calc 3, my two grades will average out to a “B” or a 3.0. I’m not sure if this is how it works.
