Help please!
Hey workers comp friends… sucks we’re all in this situation.
I’ve made a previous post but I’m lost and struggling
Backstory: I was injured at work on 8/25/26, manager wasn’t in but I did go to urgent care and pay for it myself that night. Went back to work the next day and informed my manager. She contacted workers comp and we got the claim going. On 8/27 I had to leave early due to the pain and me struggling to walk. I haven’t been back to work since. I’ve paid for all my appointments out of my own pocket. Got a claim number and contacted my claims adjuster then they told me they had to put me with a different claims adjuster since I had lost wages.
Contacted an attorney but STILL (now October) have yet to receive any type of payment from wc. No weekly checks, gas reimbursement, medical reimbursement. Nothing. I’m pissed. I feel like my lawyer isn’t doing anything and he’s hard to get ahold of. I don’t know if I “fire” him and deal with it on my own, if I just close the case completely, or if I get a different lawyer. I’m tired. I’m angry. And I’m still in pain. Is there anything I can do to get payments and back payment for what I’m owed since the beginning????
Also: my attorney said he tried to get ahold of my claim adjuster and couldn’t. He filed a motion to go to court over two weeks ago and I don’t have any update as to when that will be or what will happen afterwards.
