I've been trying to build around Neorg in Neovim to create a nice and intuitive notes app alternative.
But it seems like I have to build a lot of core elements for myself. Did I just miss a few existing plugins or is the Neorg landscape still a little bare?
I'd love to get a real not selfmade template engine inside neorg.
I just got into Emacs and made a short video about it.
Everyone in here and on other platforms was incredibly supportive and forthcoming, I understand you're all passionate about this.
But this comment feels like a hate crime, where do I even begin to explain?
I've been looking for a proper Obsidian replacement and went from Logseq to Neorg, and now finally to Emacs/Doom Emacs.
It has been hard to get started. I'm reading "Mastering Emacs", but it doesn't really help me figure out what I should focus on first. I also struggle to sit through long winded tutorials, so I tried just diving in and learning by breaking things.
Should I first learn plain Org files, agenda/tasks, capture templates, org-roam, or something completely different?
I wanted to try something timely instead of configuring Neovim or other typical nix activities, so I ended up vibe nixing.
I have to say I'm not taken by it, but also impressed.
NixOS can just spin up fully configured services, point to an LLM locally, setup bridges etc etc. 1 prompt, 1 rebuild command.
If you have some old laptop or mini PC lying around, I highly recommend trying it out.
I've been setting up Neorg and I got a very minimal setup after quiet a while of playing around with it.
But I'm sitll missing flashcards, templates, presentations etc.
does anyone have a config/setup where I can steal some inspiration?
