I was going for the “Why?” achievement (>!merge an Upgrade Ball and Gacha Ball!<) and was using the Witch in hopes to transform the middle ball into a >!Gacha Ball.!<

I found that after I start a round, if the middle ball didn’t transform into a >!Gacha Ball!<, I could quit to the main menu, continue the game, and the middle ball would transform into a different ball.

I’m not entirely sure how this mechanic works. It seems as though each round, each ball has up to three different balls it can transform into.

I could also place a different ball in the middle which would transform into different balls than the others.

Does anyone else have more experience with this?
