Inflorescence

My first flower!!!! 😍🥹🤩 I wasn't sure what the pods were until someone mentioned it here yesterday. Peeked again and sure enough, a beautiful white bloom!

for my fellow plant nerds:

The flower structure of the Thaumatophyllum bipinnatifidum is called an inflorescence.
It is not a single flower, but a cluster of hundreds of tiny, individual flowers arranged on a central fleshy spike. This unique structure consists of two main parts:
Spadix: The thick, cream-colored inner spike that holds the actual flowers.
Spathe: The large, leaf-like hood (purplish-red outside, white inside) that surrounds the spike.

Thelma's Spa day

Thelma’s shower day 🌿

Had to come show her off to the people who appreciate these beauties like I do. I think she likes tropical rainstorm vibes once in a while.

I think she flowered too, if I'm not mistaken. 🥹☺️
