Vacation 5weeks PO

So my dr cleared me to go on holiday, he was even smiling a bit, saying I'll be fine as long as I dont cut down trees...

Still... how have other experiences been? Maybe earlier postop? Or even later?

Ill be travelling by plane to Milan, sightseei ng a bit (not sure how much I can handle as I can walk about 6k steps per day + normal stuff around the house). There is also the concert System of a Down... I'm inclined not to go... then I'm taking the plane to Sardinia and hopefully spending time on different beaches not more than an hour's drive away from the accommodation.

Does it sound feasible? Im planning to skip things if I cant do it. Im also travelling with my lumbar pillow, daughter and husband:))

LE: long story short I survived. 12 hours out and about, 9k steps, walking alternated with sitting and my gorgeous lumbar pillow in the plane and the car. All the replies helped boost my optimism, thank you so much! SOAD pic soon

Numbness returning

So recovery is a roller coaster, which it is. Is it normal to have a little numbness coming back 5 weeks PO? I had it for 4 weeks post op, then it finally went away and yesterday i think i sat down weirdly, felt a little pull down my leg and here it is, back again... It doesn't bother me much, but I just feel so angry and frustrated that I was not careful enough. And tomorrow I'm leaving for a 2 week holiday which means 2 h by plane and sitting in the car for around an hour a day and walking clearly probably more than I do now (6k steps a day, split into two + the obvious extra walking around the house, more or less an hour a day)

5 weeks postop - new back pain

So i got my surgery on May 28, it was a 1cm bulge that killed me. Since then, the pain disappeared, but I had constant numbness and discomfort in my calf, around the knee and sometimes up my hip. I was so scared every time I walked cause I felt it getting worse. However, the more I walked, the better I felt. Now 5 weeks post op, can walk up to 6000 steps a day painfree. But yesterday i started feeling some dull back pain, which is totally new... so much fun... anyone with the same issue? It is constant, even when i lie down. My doctor said its normal.
