Big Mood Season 2 to be released in Spain
Not sure if there are any Big Mood fans in Spain on this sub, but sharing just in case.

My daughter and I finally finished the series last night (we started watching it a couple years ago, but hadn't gotten through the finale and were letting it simmer). This morning, I was greeted by this excellent scene in The Atlantic.
To celebrate the bright colours that come with the fall leaves (depending on where you live maybe it's the bright colours of summer) I thought we could share some pictures of Nicola in bright colours. I was inspired by this picture and the bright shade of blue.
This is such a fun photo, I love the drama and movement with the fabric of the dress.
What a lovely article. It's so nice to see the cast support each other.
I totally agree. This was such a huge mistake for them to make. I think that it was time for Penelope to move on from LW but I do not like how the show handled it and to have the showrunners say that Penelope was the books version of LW and they will create their own (not verbatim). To me this just shows their choice had a lot to do with ego.
I think this also is a disservice to the female fans. To have her work and name that she created stolen from her and that it's okay because now she's married. It just seems so out of touch to me.
Are there any shows or movies you could see any of Nicola's characters do a crossover with?
I would like to see Maggie crossover into Fleabag's world. I think there would be an interesting dynamic, and it would be fun to see Maggie break the 4th wall like Fleabag does. I also think there are similarities to the tones of each show.
I think seeing the Derry Girls crossover to the land of the Magic Faraway tree would be hilarious. To see the chaos they would create as they visit each world would be very entertaining, and to see them in Dame Snap's classroom would be amusing, and very stressful!
What shows and characters do you think would make a good crossover?
Added: are there any show or movie casts that you would like to see Nicola join?
I really like Penelope and Eloise's friendship on Bridgerton. I appreciate that their interactions don't only revolve around men (passed the Bechdel test, yay!) and that they had their differences and arguments. Nicola and Claudia are terrific actors and really elevate the material.
Does anyone have any favourite moments between Eloise and Penelope (or between Claudia and Nicola)?
I think their fight scene at the end of S2 was so impressive and heartbreaking. I really felt empathy for both characters and could understand why both felt hurt and angry.
As for Nicola and Claudia, I think they are a riot together. They are both so funny and smart and seem like they have a lot of fun together. They both worked hard to get where they are and seem to really appreciate their success.
Any make-up enthusiasts out there? I love finding new make-up and skin care, though now I am trying to be more minimalist and simple. That's why I like Nicola's make-up style, she seems to keep it simple. It helps that she has great skin, which really is most of the effort.
>As Maggie, Nicola Coughlan gets to play messy, impulsive, and unapologetically outspoken, with her character often facing consequences for her candidness. It's an intense performance that feels worlds away from Bridgerton, and the show's second season only reinforces how perfectly suited Coughlan is to Maggie's particular brand of chaos.
Happy to see Big Mood still getting accolades. And I will keep my fingers crossed that there will be 3rd season!
I think all of the actors in Derry Girls are so expressive that their scenes are so GIF-able, what are some of your favourite GIFs from Derry Girls?
Some snippets with reference to Nicola
>I was contacted by Aimee Lou Wood, and then by Nicola Coughlan. The latter introduced herself as "Hello, I'm Aimee's girlfriend". This also shows how directly and modestly they handle all this.
Nicola, for example, came to me with half-wet hair, between shoots, on her only day off. We talked about a lot of things, it came up how difficult it is to live in London, how expensive housing is, how difficult it is to find a normal place to rent, how you can be famous, but you go through the same difficulties as anyone else. Perhaps my greatest experience with well-known people so far is that they were able to remain true to themselves despite their successes.
I love how there are still BTS pictures from Season 3 of Bridgerton that I haven't seen before. The HMU were truly talented and they were so generous to share the details of their work.
Does anyone else have any BTS pictures of Nicola they want to share. It can be from any of her projects.
I swear, sometimes Nicola looks like she stepped out of a dollhouse.
Which photos make you do a double take and wonder if it's Nicola or a perfectly crafted doll?
I realize I worded the title of this post oddly... it's a bit awkwardly phrased. 😭
I have been able to get my GIFs working again, so to self indulgently celebrate, I thought we could share some of our favourite Nicola related GIFs. Please share your favourites below!
No definitive date provided, just winter. But it’s on another list of shows to watch. Love that it’s getting such good promo already!
We’re getting closer to the release date announcement, who’s excited!?
I’ve seen a lot of discussion about Nicola archiving a lot of photos from her IG. Personally I think it’s her SM and she can do what she likes, it’s the discussion about her archiving to prepare for stuff for her new projects that peaked my interest.
Does anyone think she’s getting ready to share some stuff on her more recent projects? Or maybe a new project announcemen? 🤔
I hope more people stand up against the use of generative Ai. I admire Nicola for being so outspoken. And if more people aren’t outspoken about it now maybe their voices will be used without their consent.
I anso love seeing all of the little details that we might not have seen watching the show. It’s so impressive that they put all this work into each costume, especially considering the costumes aren’t on screen for all that long.
I really miss the hair and makeup close ups that the team from S3 used to provide. I think not having them involved in S4 really was a loss for the show.
The seamstress who worked on Bridgerton shared some more costume details for Penelope’s looks for season 4.
I love the jackets that Penelope and Eloise wear. S4 costumes didn’t quite beat S3 costumes, at least for me, but I do appreciate seeing the details and the workmanship.
Does anyone prefer the season 4 costuming over season 3.
