Day 60 of 3g walstad

Day 60 numbers

Ph 7.4

Ammonia 0 ppm

Nitrite 0 ppm

Nitrate 10 ppm

Kh 200 ppm

Gh 400 ppm

Tds 430 ppm

Light is 6 hours a day

Snails are doing great (1 nerite and bladder snails)

Shrimp (cherry) I added 5 and seem to have 2 left. 1 is easily to find and grazing

Plants are mixed results. Crypts are growing, Amazon sword is good, but many stem plants in the corner rot at the base, snails eat the stem and it's floating

I'm unsure at this point what to do. I hardly do water changes, just top off with distilled water.

Should I do water changes to knock down the gh, kh or what is best here?

Walstad 3g 30 day update

Things are going pretty good! Clear water and very little biofilm at this point. Nerite snail (I bought) and bladders snails (hiked in on a plant).

Tried keeping it plenty stocked with plants while plenty melted.

Haven't really had an algae problem but started out with only 6 hours lighting

Been sitting at 7.6 pH, .25 ppm ammonia, 0ppm nitrite and 5ppm nitrate for a bit now.

Was hoping to go cherry shrimp next once ammonia drops to 0 for awhile.

First walstad (and it's 3g)

I just finished setup and got the plants from father fish. I grabbed the small aquarium plant pack 12 plants total

It can include:

3 stem

2 dwarf Sagittaria

2 micro sword or chain

2 cryptocoryne

1 floating

1 moss

1 small anubias

I think I have most identified, but is the long grass (on the right) dwarf Sagittaria? Idk if I planted that right at all
