Lost Access to Silicon Valley to India Founder Group, Can Someone Share Again?

Hey everyone,

A while back, I came across a really good founder community/group for Indian founders in the US and founders planning to move back to India from Silicon Valley.

I also attended one of their community meets, and honestly, it was amazing to meet like-minded founders.

I wanted to reconnect but lost access to the group. If anyone has the link, could you please share it here again?

Would really appreciate it. Thanks:)

Why You’re Not Getting Referrals in Tutor Groups

a few weeks ago, I joined a WhatsApp group shared on Reddit where tutors exchange referrals, leads, and resources. Didn’t expect much, but I landed a $20/hr tutoring gig for the summer. How? By staying active and adding value without spamming.

Here’s why you might be missing out on opportunities and how to fix it(just my thoughts):

1. Rare Activity

If you ghost the group, you stay invisible. I made it a point to check in daily, even if it was just to answer one question or share a useful tip. It kept me on people’s radar.

2. Hard-to-Find Value

Don’t just drop links or random advice. Share insights from your own experience. I helped a fellow tutor with a problem I faced last year, this kind of value sticks.

3. Late Replies

Speed matters. I used to miss out because I replied hours later. Now, I keep notifications on for quick responses. It shows you’re present and engaged.

4. Self-Promoting

Constant self-promotion is a turn-off. Instead, I focused on helping others first. When I did mention my services, it was in response to a specific need.

this was my way of sharing what worked for me as a fresh tutor with no experience.

Drop your thoughts below and let’s help each other out.

$20/hr Tutoring Opportunity I Got From a Random WhatsApp Group on reddit

A few weeks ago, I joined a WhatsApp group shared on Reddit where tutors help each other with referrals, extra student leads, opportunities, resources, etc.

Didn’t expect much at first, but by simply staying active, helping people, replying quickly, and not spamming or self-promoting, I ended up landing a $20/hr tutoring opportunity for this summer.

What I realized is that whether it’s Reddit, Facebook groups, or any online community, you need to help and add value first. That’s honestly one of the best ways to get more students and opportunities.

You should be willing to give before you expect to receive, and eventually you’ll often get back far more than you imagined.

Hope this inspires new tutors to keep going, stay active in communities, and continue looking for students instead of giving up.

  • Public directories
  • Lead sources
  • Scraping methods
  • Communities/platforms

Would really appreciate any tips/tools/resources.

Hey everyone,

Looking to connect with tutors/teachers having 10+ years of experience in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or Mathematics.

I have a student lead and would prefer referring them to someone experienced from this community.
