It was my first time cold plunging in a lake. Wanted to try it in Banff. Not sure how cold the water was (probably in the 0-2°C range). temp outside was 4°C, snowing lightly
My body was warm for the 3-4 mins I spent in the lake, used breathing techniques to stabilize my body temperature. 3 mins in, I started feeling my fingers getting cold so I got out. The next 10 mins of being out, my fingers were a bit painful but got back to normal within 15 mins of leaving the water.
Overall great experience. Not recommended to try it if you never took cold showers/no prior breathing techniques experience
