Think of Room as like, a nerfed version of Stats. They can basically apply any effect they want (which can sometimes be even more varied than what Stats can do) but they also must include their opponent(s) in whatever effect they create. Forcing Room to be smart with what effects they choose to use.

Side Note: Room CAN apply more than 1 room effect at once but generally won't due to it being difficult to manage (also makes it harder to judge which rooms are fair or not)

Room can also freely swap through effects, although trying to rapidly swap effects is EXTREMELY difficult for Room to do and would require SOME planning in advance (for example, they can't rapidly swap between speed and strength boosts during a combo without messing up one or the other. But they CAN change the effects if they see one isn't working)
