Anyone else plays this on steam deck and made it fairly smooth?

Hello,

I was having an absolute blast with this game, it is literally all I am looking for in a video game (ok combat could be a bit improved to make it a masterpiece, but this is mainly an exploration game and I love it).

I play on steam deck as my pc is back in my country at the moment. Game was running pretty well. Naturally all my graphic settings were set to low to make it work, but it worked and that is what mattered... until I got to Talju. This was a mess - extreme stutter. To somehow get through Talju, I capped fps at 30, set manual gpu clock to 1300, turned off hdr as well as all upscaling.

As a result game became quite ugly looking, but it was stuttering less - I managed to get through Talju telling myself that next zones will not be as bad, so I will push through this lack of enjoyment.

Then I went to Marastan while keeping same settings as in Talju. It is stuttering there as well like in Talju (playable, but I am forcing myself to play as it is not really enjoyable).

I am at a stage to let it go and hoping I will not lose interest to come back to this game when I will have my pc available in maybe a year or so. But usually when I stop mid playthrough, I do not come back to the game.

So my questions are:

  1. are remaining zones as hardware demanding as Talju and Marastan?

  2. any other ideas what I could do with my steam deck to decrease or even remove stutter?

Thank you in advance!
