I finally bit the bullet…
After mulling it over for months, I finally bought the Japanese release of 80s Punisher film. It’s unique in that it also includes the extended workprint and a spliced together version that blends the workprint extra footage with the remastered HD film. Since this is out of print, I was able to purchase the only version online that didn’t cost a crazy amount of money on Amazon. I contend it’s still the most enjoyable of the live action film iterations of the character.
