51a - next steps?

I filed a 51a in Massachusetts for a daycare - results came back supported for two of the teachers

What happens next? Do the teachers get fired? Can they work in ECE again? What happens to the daycare?

Edit: I’ve gotten my answer. Teachers do not automatically get fired/penalized and it depends on the severity of the event. Thank you to those who provided clarity

Consultant vs collaboration

I’m in outpatient and have a new patient who goes to a specialized ABA school. This school has an SLP consultant they work with. Seems like they contract with her.

The consultant and teacher wanted to schedule a call with me to “collaborate”. Timing didn’t work out so I sent them my documentation instead so they can read what I’m doing. The SLP is clearly not knowledgeable about AAC based on how she set up this students device (small grid, fringe vocab only, nonsensical organization). So she had questions for me about patients device and what grid size I would recommend, etc.

My question is… this consultant gets paid by the school to work with these teachers and students, but then I’m expected to find time in my day to give them information for free?? Or realistically during my work day that my company pays me for… for their company to use my time?? Where is the line for “collaboration” versus “consulting”?? How do you navigate this for OP SLPs??

MA state regulations - high chair use at daycare

Are there state-based regulations for use of high chairs at daycare? Such as length of time child is allowed to be in high chairs, if they are required to be strapped in or not, if teachers should be a certain distance away, how many kids can eat at once, foot supports, etc.
