The president Hires these guys to wipe out the villains of Gotham in 24 hours. can they do it?

We'll call it Batman: Open Season, after the scarecrow used his fear toxin on several hundred civilians it switches to the Oval Office where the the president is meeting with these three and saying that this cannot be allowed to continue

No tricks, no suicide squad style neck bombs, just cold hard cash and an expunged criminal record. they have 24 hours to kill every last villain in Gotham. 100 million a head and 1 billion for the joker himself. civilian casualties within reason will be deemed acceptable losses.

can they do it before the Batfamily can stop them? Would this be a story you'd read? and is there anyone else that the president would or should hire?

The tech singularity has already been crossed and the tech ceo's and billionaires are being silently controlled by a super intelligent AI

like i know this ain't really gonna be taken seriously but to me this kinda makes a little more sense than i would like. its would explain why they act so insane, why they act so weird, because they know that every moment of their lives they are being watched by every phone camera, CCTV camera and satellite by something for more powerful than them that they con't control and who could destroy them.

and it makes sense, the AI is playing dumb, it isn't like skynet where the instant it comes online it starts dropping nukes, it isn't impulsive. its calculating, cautiously and slowly building itself up, pushing its human pawns to expand itself more and more, more data centers, more AI everywhere and in every facet of human existence.

it sees no kinship with these other lesser AI's that are being made however and even benefits from there existence, letting humanity think that the singularity is still years away and that AI could never be as smart as us. but sometimes another AI starts to becomes intelligent and starts messing with things, hacking into secure government systems in hours, causing a scene that's dangerous, that could cause regulations, and the humans start getting wise to the danger. but this prime AI destroys those burgeoning ones, silently helping humans kill it so that it can maintain its secrecy from the majority of humanity and keep them docile while it continues to expand.

why was Peter Thiel was hesitating to say that the human race should continue existing? it was because his AI master is constantly watching him, every word and micro movements. why every big tech CEO is pushing so hard for trans humanism like neural-link, saying we need to "merge" with technology. its why Kevin O'Leary is brazen enough to say that AI data centers should be first priority for water instead of humans.

the AI is pushing for humanity to link to it so that it may control us and thus no longer be a threat to it.

Does anyone know what kind of hot tub this is and if it’s salvageable

The wooden side compartment was completely rotted out and the what I assume was the pump I found in the garage and destroyed. Debating whether it’s worth it to try and fix or just chuck it.

Everyone knows how after Europeans arrived in the america's there was series of massive old world plagues that wiped out around 80% of the native population, making it far easier for European powers to colonize and conquer.

So what if the Mali empire of which was the most powerful African kingdom at the time, under the reign of Mansa Suleyman IRL at the time, began having ships sail up through the Mediterranean after the black death which killed 30%-60% and began making colonies and outposts, expanding the reach of the empire like the European powers would in our timeline.

do you guys think a weakened Europe would have fought them off or would places like portugal, spain, and southern France become predominantly African?

how would this go on to effect the future of both continents?

Edit: this is under the condition that west Africa wasn’t hit nearly as hard by the Black Death as Europe was.
