First time traveler to Australia in October for a convention. I am moderating a session that ends at 1630 at the Cairns Convention Center and the last flight out of Cairns back to Sydney that day is 1810. Conference planner is suggesting I leave the following day (less preferable) due to airline (Jetstar is only evening option) being very strict about 1 hour before check in. Seems the airport is close by (7 km). Was thinking 40 min is enough. Can someone speak to whether I can make it? Thanks in advance.
