Stay away from being homeless

I just had the wake up call of my life I was going to be homeless cause I was tired of having to keep up with bills…as I was talking to some homeless people on where might be a good place to sleep if I ever was homeless…one of the fellas kept talking about rape at first it wasn’t od he kept saying watch out for a guy name Mike…fast forward he’s chasing me down the street telling me he’s going to rape me…ended up calling the cops…idc what beef you have with your family idc if you feel like your being treated like a wage slave…keep your loved ones close and before you think about being homeless plz do everything you can to not be don’t do it…I’m tough as nails I can def handle it but I’m def not going to…stay away from all that as best as you can and plz if you ever are going to be homeless find people in this group and stick together

Edit: unless you are any age from 15-24 and you need to escape abuse I don’t want this to scare you from leaving that situation there is help for young people that didn’t get a chance at life there’s also job corps as scary as people say things are don’t worry there is programs like grants that’ll pay for schooling also the Latter Day Saint church may help you as well aka the Mormons in Utah I’m not lds but there’s options in life, much love

Story time of when I was homeless at 17

Dang I really wanted advice and to tell my situation on this Reddit but yall are right too many attention seekers…and sadly I’m 4 days from being homeless and not homeless yet. Instead I’ll take this time to tell a story when I was homeless at 17 I’m 26 now….when I was 17 and homeless I was dropped off by my birth mother back to my abusive adoptive parents home…ofc I’m not going back to the abuse so like any kid would do and I went to the homeless shelter lol stationed near a park and maintained by some young 20 year old female prob a volunteer. So I approach the glass counter with a small slit in it to hand stuff through the glass lol I approached this young girl maintaining the entrance to the shelter and asked her as a 17 year old male, who looks 13, if there was any room for me? She looked me dead in the eyes and said I’m sorry but our shelters are full and we’re only accepting women and children….CHILDREN. lol this is my first experience with homelessness me at 17 thinking well girls are weaker than me and so are children so that makes sense forgetting I was literally technically a child at the time i accepted it didn’t tell her I was 17 cause I legit forgot I was still a kid. she handed me a blanket that they hand prison inmates at any jail … just some lint itchy lint and said here’s a blanket and I slept on the park bench that night…it was a good cold night as a I no longer had to endure any abuse the best sleep I had in my life….anyway I’m about to be homeless again at 26 thought I’d share that story and I’m wondering there’s a high way nearby I’m wondering if I may be able to pitch a tent somehow or will I be caught any homeless advice will be helpful thank you so much and I don’t have a car and I do have student loans in default so like coast guard prob won’t be an option :)
