Physical symptoms dragging? Anyone else?
I quite vaping cold turkey 7 days ago after 2.5 years of fairly heavy vaping (20mg 2ml pod a day for the last 6 months or so) and I’ve noticed that I’m still getting nausea, palpitations, and very very mild chest tightness / pain on day 8.
I was getting the palps while I was vaping too, occasionally. Sometimes I’d get them, sometimes I wouldn’t, but very unpredictable. I thought the vaping was what was causing it so I quit. And I didn’t realize that physical withdrawals were a thing, and that palps could be one of those symptoms. Sometimes happens during exertion (gym, speed walking, etc). Sometimes happens independent of any of that. I drank a beer once and started getting palpitations for like 20min straight until I sat down on the train. I’m starting to think the palps are not a symptom of the vaping or the withdrawals at all, but my 12-lead ECG came back normal. I have bloods scheduled for a weeks time but if they come back normal, I’ll have no clue. Doctor doesn’t know about the vaping because I have controlling parents who insist on seeing my appointment notes after every appointment (if they found about I’d be good as dead anyway), but again at the point I don’t think it’s that relevant as probably isn’t vaping related.
The thing that’s killing me is the health anxiety of it all. The mood swings for me are still violent. I end up balling my eyes out every time I get the nausea coming back because of how much I hate nausea and how scared I am for my health. Is this all just anxiety? I know that these are all also symptoms of that too, but there’s not much I feel massively anxious about right now besides my health and the vaping stuff.
Anyone else shared a similar experience and can help advice/reassure me, coz I’m in a terrible place right now and I can’t concentrate on doing anything else. It’s killing me.
