Request for Reconsideration of the 'Assessed Marks' Policy for Cambridge AS Level Physics (9702/21)
The recent decision of Cambridge to nullify all the marks obtained by students in Paper 21 and award us the 'assessed mark' through an automated calculation is a huge injustice against all the honest candidates. All this while, we have been working day and night to gain mastery in the complex structured theory questions, derivation of theories, and multiple calculations required in Paper 2. It is extremely unfortunate that our hard work has come to naught. To base the majority percentage of our grade on such a subjective criterion as the Multiple Choice Paper, and a practical test, which is unpredictable, is mathematically wrong and unjust. Such an approach does not give consideration to a candidate's individual capabilities and skills and reduces everything to a matter of statistics. We strongly reject this decision of Cambridge. Our signature will force Cambridge to reconsider their decision and give us the opportunity to be assessed based on our true abilities. Sign the petition now!
