To those who were misdiagnosed with fibromyalgia, what did you actually have?
I’ve been diagnosed for 2 years now but have always felt that fibromyalgia hasn’t been the real issue for me, but my rheumatologist ruled out most things, as well did pulmonology, and I’ll be seeing cardiology soonish but my rheumatologist says what I have currently is just fibromyalgia. I’m not sure if it’s what’s really going on though, here’s what’s been going on:
• Severe fatigue with normal daily activities.
• Fatigue and pain worsen after activity and can last hours to days.
• Non-restorative sleep, even after sleeping 10 to 14 hours.
• Chronic widespread pain, especially back, hips, shoulders, arms, and thighs.
• Leg weakness, heaviness, shaking, numbness, burning, and occasional buckling.
• Balance problems and difficulty standing or walking for long periods.
• Heart racing with standing or mild activity, sometimes in the 140s to 160s.
• Dizziness, shakiness, and feeling weak when upright.
• Shortness of breath with activity.
• Chronic mostly dry cough since around October 2025.
• Wheezing at night and breathing feeling worse lying down or in cold air.
• Brain fog, poor concentration, and memory issues.
• Migraines or headaches.
• Heat and cold intolerance, chills, and flushing.
• Frequent flu-like feelings.
• History of abnormal inflammation labs and positive autoimmune antibodies, but normal muscle enzymes and no ILD.
Im just wondering where else I can go with this because I’m miserable 24/7 and never have any relief.
I forgot I could hit two people at once now
