God I have a love/hate Reletionship with Oracle but I still think this is a great stock to purchase and hold long term, I have just bought more shares there at a huge discount. Anyone else in the same position?

We've agreed to buy a house, and everything from our side was submitted around three weeks ago. Our solicitor has everything they need, so we're basically ready to exchange and complete.
We're also selling our current house to a first-time buyer, who is also ready to go with everything in place.
When we viewed the house we're buying, the sellers told us they were keen to move as soon as possible. However, our solicitor has now told us that the sellers' onward purchase has proposed a completion date in mid-September.
Is this normal? It feels like we're now expected to wait around 10 weeks, despite everyone in our part of the chain being ready.
I'm worried our first-time buyer might get impatient and pull out because of the delay, and to be honest, we're keen to move as well.
Has anyone else been in a similar situation? Is there anything we can do to encourage an earlier completion date, or is it simply a case of waiting for the top of the chain. We live in Scotland
Hi Everyone, My fiancée and I have just submitted our mortgage application for a new house and we're wondering what sort of timelines other people have experienced recently.
Our mortgage adviser has told us to expect around 4-6 Weeks, but we'd be interested to hear how long it actually took for others, from application submission to mortgage offer.
Did it take roughly what you were told, or was it quicker/slower? Any recent experiences would be really appreciated :)
