I am finding it fascinating to see that flood of posts in which the victims of CouchSurfing scam are up in arms about the binfire the latest update to the system is, and yet many of them, some even the same people, still stay this is the best platform around.
Some of them will be paid shills of course, but some seem genuine. Is that kind of a Stockholm syndrome or something?

I remember two notable cases: one was the Jewish guy who went to the pub with me and my friends and went ballistic on finding one of my friends is from a Muslim family (she was from Malta and not even a religious person).
Of course we declined, he started to abuse her and had to he kicked off the pub by the bouncers. He was also soon kicked out of my house.
The second was some initially nice girl with lots of references whose request I accepted. Now for context: I had an information on my profile that I have cats and I point out that they are of a breed that is very alergennic so I don't advise any people who are allergic to cats to stay with me. She wrote to me on day of her arrival to say that she forgot to tell me she's allergic so she hopes I can "remove the cats" for the duration of her stay "and hoover my flat properly". Of course I told her this is not happening. She then cancelled her request but still wrote a message to me saying that I owe her for a hostel...
As I am a new driver to the company, I don't have my own truck and I jump between other trucks as regular drivers are on holidays.
I now have one of the newest in the fleet and it's fitted with alcolock. Apparently the boss plans to have them fitted to all new trucks. Basically, you can start an engine, but until you blow and register as being OK, it won't engage gear.
I have to say I have a mixed feelings. On one side, I feel that this means I am not trusted. On the other hand, we spend so much time on ferries (last week I took 27 hour ferry to rostock, drove for two days in Germany then took overnight ferry to Sweden and then 12 hours day ferry from Stockholm to Turku via Aland islands - stunning route, btw), and those Baltic ferries are like cruise ships, and Fins like to drink and I know there have been cases when they weren't able to sober up enough before it was time to drive...
I have a rule whenever I am at work, I don't drink at all, unless there is a night before by 24 hours break, and even then only a couple of beers max... But I know not everyone is like that.
Still, I would have alcolock in my truck anytime over driver facing camera...
