I've read that you aren't allowed to wear contacts during BMT, but can I wear them on graduation day? And during graduation photos?

TIA for all the replies.

Hey everyone,

I see a lot of people on here mentioning that it’s a good idea to have a box or parcel pre-packed at home so a family member can ship it to you once you get your PO Box at Tech School.

I'm trying to put mine together now so it's ready to go, but I'm a bit stuck on what is actually useful versus what is just dead weight.

For those who did this (or are currently at Tech School), what sort of things did you actually pack?

Also, what are the hard limitations on what we can have in the dorms? I know rules vary by squadron and base, but what are the general "absolutely nots" across the board?

• Laptop vs. Tablet? (Is a full laptop necessary for studying or is a tablet enough?)
• A few civilian clothes vs. A massive wardrobe?
• Gaming PC vs. Console (PS5/Xbox)?

Appreciate any insight or packing lists you guys can share!

Is the PT 2-mile run, 1 min sit-ups, 1-push ups? Any other events?

Just trying to do mock attempts.
