Poseidon doesn't have any domain even remotely related to dreams or prophecies. WHY does Percy have weirdly detailed dreams of future events or random conversations that happened a thousand years ago?

It doesn't make any sense😭 we don't hear from other demigods talking about having a random prophetic dream, but it would make sense for a child of Apollo who has his prophetic powers, or a child of Hypnos or Morpheus who are connected to dreams and stuff. Hell, even a child of Athena can have a pseudo-prophetic power where they make an educated guess more accurately than most people (wisdom.)

It would've been cool if the books never told you whose dream it was, and it was kept vague. Or if other characters with the aforementioned powers told Percy about it, yk community and stuff. Idk what I'm yapping about here I just know that Percy shouldn't have been able to have those dreams without at least a blessing from a god or something

I'm so serious...if we're being realistic, the camp wasn't going through much before Percy. Quests was scarce, as far as I know.

Until this kid shows up. What follows is the battle of Manhattan, the war with gaia, two big prophecies coming to pass, he's in both of them, he has awesome as shit powers when a lot of the other demigods barely have anything good enough for battle. Also...HE KEEPS SURVIVING.

I can totally imagine newer campers sort of idolising him, thinking he's very cool because of all the stories around him. The few older campers who survived to see the camp before Percy? I can see them hating him. They obviously don't think he did it on purpose or that he had a hand in doing it, but he was always at the centre of it all so its hard not to associate him with all those bad events. So many of their friends and siblings died. Why didn't he? Why is he, despite all of this, still alive?
