I am coming to Zermatt this weekend (May 22-25) and meeting a friend from the US who is in Switzerland for a conference and wanted to see the most beautiful mountain in the world.  I have been to Zermatt many times but only for skiing or in the height of summer for hiking.  

Does anyone know which mountain restaurants might be open this weekend?  I think most are closed.  Will there be some open hiking trails?  And enough places open in the village to make it fun for her?  I have been talking about Zermatt for so long, I really want to show her how special it is.
