Hi all - I send postcards to friends and family whenever I travel. I heard that there is a post office at EBC and I got super excited to send postcards from there. But then I read that you can’t actually access EBC from this hike. Can anyone let me know what the situation is? Thank you!
Hello! I’ve never done a long multi day hike before and am doing the EBC hike in late October. I know this is a really dumb question so please don’t make fun of me. How many pairs of underwear and socks do people typically bring on this sort of trek? I can’t imagine it will be easy to wash and re-wear, and I don’t think it’s very good to wear the same hiking socks multiple days in a row. Can anyone give me some advice? Thank you!
Hi all! I was reading about the via ferrata and it sounds like fun. I am alone and I have only done one via ferrata before and I am not a climber, so I would want someone experienced to go with me. Zermatters wants more than 500€ for a guide which seems a little crazy for a free trail. Does anyone have any thoughts on getting someone experienced to go with me that would be more reasonably priced?
I bought this sunscreen at a beach in Malaysia a few years ago when I forgot mine and forgot I had it. I am using it now on my face and I love it. It is not too liquidy and doesn’t leave my face shiny. I can’t find it anywhere here in France though. Does anyone know anything about this brand?

I am coming to Zermatt this weekend (May 22-25) and meeting a friend from the US who is in Switzerland for a conference and wanted to see the most beautiful mountain in the world. I have been to Zermatt many times but only for skiing or in the height of summer for hiking.
Does anyone know which mountain restaurants might be open this weekend? I think most are closed. Will there be some open hiking trails? And enough places open in the village to make it fun for her? I have been talking about Zermatt for so long, I really want to show her how special it is.
