Considering Humber? Maybe think again
I’m currently studying Early Childhood Education at Humber North as a domestic student, and my experience has definitely been off. I’m only saying this as I wish someone said the same to me when I applied.
Faculty could not care less about any issues you are having, most of the time there is no opportunity to speak one-on-one with anyone because they’d rather you submit a form with your concern, which may or may not be replied to.
If you’re thinking about coming here (especially on residence), you better be flexible with money. Also, ensure you communicate the obvious with Humber because they’ll put your tuition deposit in the wrong place….? (Speaking from experience)
Also on the topic of residence, you should also be flexible with your living conditions!!! While great for the most part, Humber LOVES to do work on their buildings at 7am, turning off just hot water, or power, or both! This is amazing during the summer when their combined heat/cooling systems only produce HEAT.
The main problem I’m getting at is whoever is in charge of the various sectors are obviously not in favour of their staff or students. Dealing with anyone at Humber is aggravating, their emails are vague, they want to teach you a lesson by making you figure out everything by yourself, and they love love love love love to take your money.
