Day 10/50

SW: 233lbs
CW: 216.6lbs
Delta: -16.4lbs

Hi,

1/5 of the goal conquered! Everyday my body feels lighter and there is less stress on my joints and feet. My favorite shirts are feeling loose, and this is just the beginning.

One con that is seldom mentioned is that I’m always cold now which is so odd because I have typically always ran very warm. I now don a vest and light jacket on top of my button down shirt even when I’m indoors. Who knows this might be a plus when summer arrives.

Day 9/50

SW: 233lbs
CW: 217.3lbs
Delta: -15.7lbs

First 15 down, many, many more to go!

The stomach pain from the virus/illness is gone. I am feeling solid and cannot wait for future progress. If I keep my focus, I cannot lose 🚀 thank you, all!

Day 8/50

SW: 233lbs
CW: 218.5lbs
Delta: -14.5lbs

I caught a pretty nasty stomach bug and it has been giving me severe stomach pain. I had a brief thought about breaking. It is much better now since it seems like a 24 hour ailment according to my fiance who just had it.

I am thrilled about surviving the weekend and for the weight lost so far. Thank you all for your continued support!

Day 6/10

SW: 233lbs
CW: 222.8
Delta: -10.2lbs

I feel great - consistent mood, energy, and overall appreciation for life.

I stopped drinking coffee only because the smell of black coffee was slightly disgusting, but I was not nauseous. I know that I am giving up some great benefits like appetite suppression and improved focus but it simply is not worth it for me.

Friends, staying busy and active is the best way to combat hunger signals and the almost overbearing boredom that are inherent with extended fasts.

Spread love, and work hard. ❤️

Day 5/50

SW: 233lbs
CW: 222.9lbs
Delta: -10.1lbs

Hi,

The hunger signals have decreased significantly. I am in a very stable mode.
The mental battle is also less taxing but still something that requires dutiful attention.
I started to use commercially availible electrolytes today and they have made a difference to my mood. I am curious, for those in long fasts >5 days, what is your daily sodium goal?

Thank you for your time 🙏

Day 4/50

SW: 233lbs
CW: 223.5lbs
Delta: -9.5lbs

Hi,

I woke up feeling like I was on a different planet.

I had lost so much weight in such a short amount of time that gravity felt considerably weaker. I had to keep checking my feet and my body because it felt like I was missing something.

Finally, the hunger was the worst yesterday then it has been since I started. At no point do I feel like I will preemptively break my fast due to low will power but, I can feel the heavy consequence of allowing my mind to drift. Physical lethargy has started to set in. I do not know of a better way to combat this then just get up, move, and keep yourself distracted. I would be very interested in hearing how others address side-effect.

Day 3/50

Hi,

SW: 233lbs
CW: 227.4lbs
Delta: -5.6lbs

Update, I feel less hungry today than I did yesterday. I would attribute this to consistent focus on my goal: 170lbs. I am able to meditate and focus on this goal throughout my day and so far has made this fast much more manageable than my previous attempts.

I am feeling more grateful with each passing day. 🙏

Lastly, I am always interested in people’s questions or requests during my journey so please keep them coming.

Day 2/50

Hi,

SW: 233lbs
CW: 229.6lbs
Delta: -3.4lbs

I have not felt too hungry or any real side effects yet, except for slight boredom. I know the real challenge will be getting through the first week when fatigue and hunger signals will be at their all time high. I did get blood work done this morning so I can compare and share results before, during, after the fast.

Thank you to those that have reached out offering advice and wishing me luck with my journey.

I’ll be adding a quote with every daily check-in as something fun, starting with my favorite: “The magic you are looking for is in the work you are avoiding.”

Day 1/50

Hi,

SW: 233 lbs

My goal weight is 170lbs and I hope this 50 day fast can get me close (within 20 - 25 lbs).

I have limited experience, but the longest fast I have completed before was 30 days, and it took everything for me to not buckle. I will be following the same intake: water only with the occasional pinch of salt.

Kindly requesting any tips, thank you and I hope you have a good day. 👋
