Marvel X-Men Resistance tips, tricks, best strategies (that are fun)

Hey guys, I just played my first X-men resistance session (although I've played the core box, and the dceased at length); it's great, the characters are cool, the zombies too. Great game overall.

I write this post however because this game is hard (dceased is harder) and wanted to talk about tips on how to play better, as I lose more than I win and I'm not sure what I may not be doing.

Yesterday we lost because of dice rolls, mainly, a really bad spawn draw of a hero zombie activation that killed two players (cyclops range 2 optic blast is also tough!), but we felt so powerless at one point.

So this is a "tips and tricks" post basically.

Do you guys split up, stick together, do you use sacrifial lambs? how important are the heroic trait cards (I seldom use them), etc.

Thanks

Villains

We need villains bro.

Where's Thanos? Kingpin? Doom? Mr. Sinister? Carnage? Apocalypse or Green Goblin.

We are making due with Hela, Loki?, Venom? Ultron and basically that's it; for being named "rivals" there's a lot of "friends fighting each other" going on.

Who do we need to talk to?

What is the top number of dice that can be rolled? I've always thought is 6 because there are 6 dice, but is it an actual rule? If I spend my power ups can I go over 6 dice?

Thanks.

Hey guys I was wondering if you ever have homebrewed a rule to include event cards or secondary-missions events in the game (maybe inspired in some of the expansions or other versions) I love the game but feel that the opening door and picking up the thing are a little limited in terms of story telling.

I come to ask, what event-triggering event (sorry) do you think that could work or help to "shake things up"; I have:

- Picking up the thing

- Saving THE Bystander

- Activating the Avengers sign (or Batsignal)

- Defeating a Zombie Hero / Hero (AKA boss fight)

- A player dies

Don't know a lot about some of the expansions but yeah, that's it.

And another question, has anybody used the extra tiles they sell for v2? how does adding more tiles affect the game.
