Hello everyone. My 11 year old Catahoula was diagnosed with right sided heart failure, likely due to heartworm infection before we adopted her in 2017. She was coughing and having passing out/syncope episodes. Vet put her on Vetmedin 2X day and sildenafil 2 pills 3X day. She’s been on meds about 2 weeks and still having syncope episodes about twice daily, but has perked up a little. We follow up in about 2 weeks. I asked him if he could tell me what to expect long term (I will do anything I can for her as long as she has quality of life) and he said he couldn’t give me any type of timeline. I know every dog is different but any feedback would be appreciated. Thank you
