Just tuning around the bands hunting Pota and DX, if anyone wants to try a QSO let me know and we'll pick a spot.

Field day is the weekend after next, just curious as to what everyone's plans are. This will be the first one I've attended in many many years as I had fell out of the hobby for awhile.
My club is meeting in the morning at the spot where we are going to set up to figure out our stations and antenna plans. I'm looking forward to working as many hours as I can during the contest. I may not sleep at all for the duration.
So what's the plan? Working it from home, in the field solo, club event, or working it with a group of friends?
For the seasoned vets of Field Day, what tips or tricks or general suggestions do y'all have for those of us who are 1st timers?
Hope to work some of y'all during Field Day!
*Edited because somehow I got a weekend ahead. LoL
Trying out a new Pota antenna. Running portable in the back yard.
I'm on 20M and trying to test this antenna out. I'll monitor here and see if anyone wants to try it.
Finally got my USA 250 Award today. Up until about a month ago I didn't log my hunted pota contacts to QRZ, I'd just re spot them on the page so I'd know who I had worked and didn't really care about logging them in my QRZ logbook. Then I realized I was getting close to having 250 confirmed contacts for the award and that a large majority of the contacts I had made didn't confirm. After I started actively working towards completing the 250 it dawned on me that I still didn't log any of the pota contacts that I made while hunting. Once I started doing that I had the last 50 or so confirms completed in less than three weeks. So yeah, if you're looking to get confirmations or something for the awards...don't be a doofus like me and not log them, I could have finished this award a good while back if I had.
Anywho, thanks for reading my half drunken ramblings...hope to catch ya on the air. 73
