Fluke 88V automotive

I fluked a Fluke!

Had this one from 2017. Bought from an eBay guy in Florida for $500 AUD, but when I got here in Australia, it had an EPROM error or dead on arrival. It got GSM corrupted by airport security. As he had a 100% rep on eBay, he said, "Look, I'm sorry I forgot to check it before I sent it." I said if you refund me the costs, I'll give you a top-notch review maintaining your 100% rating. He said OK and I should just keep it for parts. So I got a new unit with case and probes with a corrupted circuit board.

In Australia, Fluke has a set charge of $185 to repair any Fluke back to a usable state. So I got the GSM proofed board v11, new fuses, new holster, new LCD, and 4 new input jack caps. Plus, a full calibration with certificate.

So, for $185 AUD, I fluked a $1,500 meter refurbed back to as new. Since then, it has worked flawlessly, and I kept clean and protected.

KDL-32W670A 32" 2013 still working fine...

[phone snap is lower res]

My 2013 KDL-32W670A 32" Sony Bravia kitchen TV is working fine, but... program recording does not operate anymore!

Q: The only thing is I can't get it to do is recognise any 32G USB HDD stick for recording any more! What have I got wrong here?

I'm just watching 'Wheeler-Dealer' and the screen image is of a Lotus Europa chassis.

The remote's still as new; the screen is as bright and crisp as it could be, mainly working Full HD.

The surround sound works well; the Guide stilll works while none of the apps do. The only thing that's been done to this television is the back case has been taken off, and a very careful vacuum and blown out with CO2 gas to remove any buildup of dust over the first 8 years...

Besides that, all the capacitors are fine. And I don't have a problem with the TV one bit.

I have the same series in 32", 40" and 47" and are used daily.

So, a Bravia that consistently works at its very best every day for 14 years, WOW!

2014 Aust. KLD-40W600B Bravia going strong after all these years!

[crap low-res phone snap]

Just lounging back watching Wimbledon and the World Cup on my 12 year old set.

Apps are dead but guide works a treat. For the small amount of telly I actually watch, it's been a top quality unit. Kept dust free and polished with screen on 7/10 backlight...

Great network telly for cast and surf. But reds are flairing like all pre smart versions.

Can hue help with this?
