I've just started a dnd game set in the Shadows of the Apt universe. The players are typical Lowland kinden (Fly as Halfling, Moth as Tiefling, Bee as Fire Dragonborn, Mantis as Dhampir).

I want to populate the world with some new and rarer kinden but need some cool ideas. So far I'm thinking Crane Fly kinden, who are 8-foot tall and mostly Inapt, and Whip Spiders/Whip Scorpions who are fighting true Spiders to become dominant in the Spiderlands.
