Wann?

Ca. 1000€ (1100$) Germany looking for hobby laptop

Hi guys, im thinking about getting a laptop for a few interests i wanna try out. Im not sure between a laptop and PC yet, but RAM prices are just yeah, crazy. Laptop seems like a better decision right now at least

LAPTOP QUESTIONNAIRE

Country

I live in Germany

Budget

Around 1000€ (1100$), one or two hundred more is fine if the quality is that muvh better

Are you open to refurbs/used options?

I would preffer a new one

Screen size

Around 15 inch, little more or less is fine, just no extremes like too small or too big

Weight limit

Preffered as light as possible as always, but its not a priority really

Purpose

I want to use it for hobbys, start with 3d Printing, some CAD work, programming, all hobby wise. Maybe a game or two, but its only secondary, if its good enough.

Form factor

Its not a deal breaker if its a 2in1, i find them cool and all, but a normal laptop is just fine aswell

Intended usage

3d printing but dont know which programm yet, CAD Fusion360 probably, programming Python/C++, maybe some lighter games like minecraft and Con WW3.

Desired battery life

Sure as best as possible, but its not a very big priority, im planning to use it at home mostly anyways.

Please list, in order of most important to least important, the priority between Size, Weight, Performance, Battery life

[eg battery life, performance, weight, size doesn't matter. PLEASE REMEMBER LAPTOPS ARE A COMPROMISE AND PERFORMANCE SACRIFICES LIGHT WEIGHT AND LONG BATTERY LIFE ETC]

Performance, size/build, battery

Info/Requirements

[anything else not specified above eg. Intel only, OLED, HDR-compliant, screen resolution/refresh rate, etc. We are likely to talk you away from your desires here (because we know more than you do), but we won't steer you wrong]

Its not a must must, but AMOLED and at least 120fps would be nice. Also a nice build, and not aggresive gaming would be prepared.

How to learn feed rates and rpms?

Hi guys, im an apprentee, third year, 20 year old. I have two Datron machines, "2D" vacuum for front panels and such. It wasnt planned or anything, just kinda happened. I saw an opportunity due to collegue leaving, and took it. I can operate them, fairly well honestly, but programming is done by another collegue. He wants to teach me CAM soon, but i wanna prepare already in a way, use my time wisely. I thought about writing down feeds and rps we use, but they are dependet on machine and tool and material so i would need bunch of different excel sheets basically. I dont wanna just learn it with time, but you know, do more than that. Any other tips or ideas? And anything on our programm Tebis? Its complex as i have been told, and there is basically nothing online on it. We are also buying Hermle 5 axis soon, and i heard that some collegues would prefer me to learn operating it. Anything on it?
