For rapping from a tree down to an anchor to set a top rope for top rope solo, how do you secure to the tree?

Currently I clove hitch a tree and back it up on another tree with a bowline. Then go down and set a TRS anchor with a quad and figure 8 attachment on the rope, with one strand leading back up to the tree and the other to top rope on

Is the norm to have time off during the day one day a week, after 4pm, or before the day starts, like at 615am?
