Weird interaction in a supermarket, did I do something wrong?
I wonder if anyone can help me understand what I was being told by a cashier? I was buying some food in a supermarket in Sagunto, and when the cashier was scanning my items she stopped on a little chocolate thing, said something to me in very rapid Spanish (I’m a tourist and only know a few basic phrases) and pointed me towards the back of the store. I tried to work out what she was saying but she just kept pointing and making a sort of downwards pushing motion with her hands? The only word I could make out was ‘final’ but I have no idea in what context she was using it. It was a regular wrapped item with a barcode that had come from a shelf. In the end I just left the item as she wouldn’t scan it and I have no idea what she was trying to get me to do. Anyone have any idea?
