Is choosing a tier 3 college over a drop worth it?

I'm unsure if drop is a smart option or not because I saw last year's cutoffs and this year's and it's crazy. I would have got a tier 1 or upper tier 2 nlu with my current rank but somehow I didn't this year and there was no movement in any list for me either. And I've heard from some droppers how they're regretting it now. There is no guarantee for a better or fair paper for the next clat either. And honestly I don't want to bet on this with a year and a nlu seat at the line.

Do I have to leave my seat in current nlu if I opt for vacancy rounds?

The last date to freeze or exit is 25th May and if I want to go for vacancy rounds which I'm assuming will start in June, I'll have to leave my current seat? Is it actually safe to gamble on this 😭😭 and wtf no movement in any list and ranks below me (in my category) are alloted colleges above me wtf's happening???
