PSA to all in a master beekeeping program
PSA - Beekeepexam.com ain't worth your money. Might be worth mentioning it at your next local association meeting. Here is a quote from Jon Zawislak, current chair of the EAS MB Certification Committee:
"This topic has been blowing up within the EAS discussion board over the past couple of days. Since some of you may be involved in Master Beekeeper programs in your own states, I thought I'd put it on your radar as well. There is a new website (as of March 2026) called https://beekeepexam.com selling study guides and prep materials to help pass a number of master beekeeper exams.
The entire site appears to be AI-generated, but aims to charge users nearly $150 per month for access to practice questions and study guides. You can look at their free practice questions and see these are also meaningless AI slop. The main page shows numerous testimonials from "satisfied customers" from multiple MB programs, including some from the "EAS Journeyman Master Beekeeper Level" — a program which does not exist. As the current chair of the EAS MB certification committee, I also know that none of the names listed as EAS candidates exist in our records.
There is likely nothing that can be done about the site, except to have individual programs clearly state they have no affiliation with it. But, a fool and his money, etc...
Just sharing.
Jon "
