I recently got a dog and I'm trying to decide if I need to hire a pro or if it's realistic to train a dog at home by myself.

Professional classes in my area are pretty pricey, so I've been looking into doing at home dog training using online resources, guides, and videos. But part of me worries I'll miss something fundamental or create bad habits.

Has anyone here successfully done dog training without a trainer from start to finish? Did you hit any walls, and what helped you stay consistent?

When I watched the show for the first time years ago, I honestly didn't expect Amy to become one of my favorite characters. At first I wasn't sure what to think about her. She felt so different from the rest of the group, and I wondered how she'd fit in long-term. But after a few seasons, she became one of the funniest parts of the show for me. I especially loved seeing how her friendship with Penny and Bernadette developed. It made her character feel much more complete than just "Sheldon's girlfriend." Looking back now, I can't really imagine the later seasons without her.
