Need help with old collection

Hello all.

I was helping a lady from my old church clean out her garage when she offered me two bins of old news papers, magazines and articles she collected through her life as im a bit of a history nerd. She told me she doesnt want to know what happens to it, whether I throw it away or donate it, whatever.

The oldest piece I can find is from 1870 and ranges all the way up and through 9/11. Most of them are from major world events all the way down to the huge flood of 97.

I'm going to be honest, i've kept them in the bins after sorting them once, and I think there would be a group out there who would be able to take better care and have just as much appreciation for these things.

Does anyone know where this could go? Or better yet, are there any groups who would want these as a donation who i could sit down with to go over everything so I can get even more appreciation of what I got?

Any advice would be appreciated. I've been thinking about contacting UNR, but I saw from their online website that they more focus on nevada related, which a good chunk of this is not related to.
