Is now a bad time to buy a Oneplus phone in europe?
I've been a massive Oneplus fan since the OP 7 pro, despite always having samsung phones. Now that it's time to upgrade, the Oneplus 15R seems like the absolute best deal I can find, proper battery and performance for a midrange price, certain aspects that not even expensive flagships offer.
But there has been a lot of uncertainty lately. Web shops are out of stock and physical stores are emptying out their stock for what seems to be the last time. OxygenOS will probably be left behind and ColorOS will take over.
I'd like to have the phone until security updates run out in 2031, so 5 years. If the phone breaks or malfunctions I'm unsure of what support I can get.
What do you guys think? Take the risk to finally experience Oneplus?
Edit: Did some searching and at least for me the retailer I'm buying from has to under EU law repair or replace the device for the first 3 years of the device had defects out of the box. So in that regard I'm at least partially safe...
